Edgar Sánchez
Edgar G. Sánchez is an Associate Attorney working in the Orr|Cook Downtown office. Prior to joining Orr|Cook, Edgar worked as an Assistant General Counsel for the City of Jacksonville where he handled transactional matters and offered legal counsel to multiple City Departments. He also worked for the United States Department of the Navy where he handled all matters related to the acquisition of multimillion dollar ship repair services for the Littoral Combat Ship class. Prior to his work with the Navy, Edgar worked for several Florida private law firms where he handled cases dealing with commercial, real estate, construction, personal injury, employment, family, and workers’ compensation law.
Edgar earned his LL.M. in Taxation and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Florida. While in law school he was the Executive Articles Editor and a Member of the Membership Selection Committee for the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy. He was also a Teaching and Research Assistant for Legal Writing, Appellate Advocacy, Legal Research, and Legal Environment of Business courses. Edgar also received his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Florida.
Outside of practicing law, Edgar enjoys offshore fishing, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
