Sydnor Kerns is an Associate Attorney Orr | Cook’s Jacksonville office. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Sydnor attended Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, where he met his wife, a Jacksonville native, and began cheering for the Jaguars. At Hampden-Sydney College he studied Economics and Rhetoric, held multiple leadership positions, and received an award for Excellence in Public Speaking.

Sydnor then studied at Campbell University School of Law in Raleigh, North Carolina where he had the privilege of clerking for the Honorable Stephani W. Humrickhouse in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He also worked for a private firm focusing on plaintiff’s environmental work and interned with a North Carolina Senator.

Prior to joining Orr | Cook, Sydnor completed a one-year clerkship in the City of Richmond Circuit Court where he worked on a wide variety of civil matters and gained valuable insight from the multiple judges he assisted.

In his free time, Sydnor enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his wife and dog
