For over 20 years, René Fix has represented corporate clients across the country in complex labor and employment law matters. As lead trial counsel, he has defended employers in federal and state courts against both class actions and individual claims arising under the FLSA, Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, Title IX, ADA, and the Florida Civil Rights Act. René also has extensive experience litigating non-compete and trade secret disputes, as well as business disputes arising under partnership and shareholder agreements. He also represents employers in response to administrative claims asserted by federal and state agencies, including the Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, and Florida Commission on Human Relations. René has also represented corporations in numerous arbitration proceedings.

René’s substantial experience makes him a trusted advisor for employers. He regularly counsels clients on a broad range of employment matters that include discipline and discharge, employment policies, handbooks, leaves of absence, internal investigations, pay practices, employee classification and exemptions, union activity, personnel records, confidentiality, and privacy. René frequently drafts, reviews, and provides advice on employment agreements, non-competes, non-disclosures, and other business-related contracts.

In addition to his labor and employment experience, Mr. Fix has experience in commercial litigation matters in state and federal court, including breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, fraud, defamation, unfair competition, and deceptive consumer practices.
