PRESS RELEASE – ORR|COOK CONTINUES GROWTH ADDING REAL ESTATE PARTNER

April 19, 2021 – Jacksonville, Fla. – Orr|Cook is proud to announce that Meg Hixon has joined the firm to lead its real estate department from its Jacksonville office.  Ms. Hixon has a wealth of experience in virtually all aspects of commercial real estate.  She’s represented clients in commercial leasing, commercial lending and construction financing, real estate acquisition, disposition and development, real estate joint ventures, residential real estate, and title insurance.  Ms. Hixon has represented numerous national and regional lending institutions in commercial and residential real estate loans; assisted bank counsel for two national banks; represented publicly traded companies in acquisitions, developments, and dispositions; represented various developers in purchase and sale transactions; represented a regional national bank in acquisition, management, leasing, and disposition; and represented landlords in connection with LOIs and leases with national, regional, and local tenants.

As part of its continued growth, the firm had been looking to add a real estate department for about 2 years to meet the needs of the firm’s business clients.  In addition to its long history of litigation experience, the firm provides full service business law advice.  The firm’s corporate and transactional practice areas include general corporate law, employment law, healthcare law, mergers, acquisitions, and disposition, and now, with the addition of Ms. Hixon, real estate law.

Ms. Hixon grew up in Atlantic Beach, graduated from Bishop Kenny, and later the University of North Florida.  She graduated with honors from the University of Florida School of Law.  Her extensive experience will be a welcome addition to the firm and its clients.   Ms. Hixon can be reached at mhixon@orrcook.com.
